NOTICE OF SIDING PROJECT AND RULES UPDATES
Due to the ongoing siding project, the Board of Directors has established the following rules regarding items being adhered to the any external surfaces of the buildings:
Exterior Alterations: After the new siding is installed, no owner or resident is allowed to drill holes or attach any items to the exterior of the building. This is crucial to maintain the warranty along with quality and appearance of the newly renovated siding.
Cameras: No cameras will be allowed to be installed on the exterior of any building except for doorbell cameras that do not require new holes/screws drilled into the siding.
– Many of the existing home security cameras are in violation of the current rules and regulations which limit the view to be only within the private areas of the unit.
Clotheslines: No clotheslines will be allowed to be installed on the buildings.
Lighting: Only existing porch lighting is allowed. Units that have installed additional lighting will not be allowed to reinstall them after the new siding is added.
Mailbox Attachments: If you wish to have your mailbox attached to the building, please coordinate with East Bluff staff. They will assist you in ensuring proper attachment without compromising the integrity of the newly installed siding.
The only items that are allowed to be installed on the exterior surface of your unit after the siding project is complete are the following:
- Mailboxes (installed by East Bluff staff or siding contractors)
- Addresses (installed by East Bluff staff or siding contractors)
- Existing porch lights
- Doorbell cameras that do not require additional holes in the new siding
Any other item placed on the exterior surface has the potential to void the siding and labor warranties and places your entire building at risk of future damage. Owners that fail to comply with the above stated rules will be responsible to cover the cost of repairs necessary to ensure the continued warranties.
